Worship Pastor

The Pastor is responsible for leading, planning, and executing a comprehensive Music and Worship Ministry.

Primary Duties (Worship)

• Directs the planning coordination, operation, and evaluation of a comprehensive Music and Worship Ministry.
• Works with the Music and Worship Ministry volunteers and employees to determine the goals, organization, leadership, facilities, finances, and administrative process.
• Assists the Lead Pastor in planning services for the church and is responsible for music portions of services and events.
• Responsible for recruiting and training volunteer leaders in Worship Ministry.
• Supervises maintenance of and additions to music library, tracks, and equipment; provides music materials, supplies, and other necessary items for musicians in a timely manner.
• Prepare and manage the Worship Ministry annual budget on an on-going basis.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a firm conviction that God has called them to the ministry, with good references to confirm this calling.
• Ordination status preferred.
• Must meet the qualifications for a pastor, as outlined in Scripture (1 Tim. 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9)
• Must possess the ability to interact with people from all walks of life courteously and effectively to establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with co-workers and members of the congregation.
• Must be able to competently manage a budget.
• Must possess the ability to recruit and train leadership, while planning organizing, and modifying a large, diverse Worship Ministry.
• Must possess the ability to utilize a team approach in planning.
• Must walk in humility and be willing to learn, even as they seek to be a leader of people.
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree. A Master of Divinity (MDiv) or at least a pursuit of an MDiv is preferred.
