Job Description:  Student Pastor

Primary Function: 

To glorify God by making disciples in the Student Ministry of London Bridge. To shepherd and lead middle and high school students to become mature followers of Christ and as a result, make disciples in their neighborhoods, nation and world.  Our vision is for the student ministry to be a growing, exciting, and out-reaching ministry in an area where there is so much opportunity to reach students!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, recruit, and train new leaders as well as encourage current leaders to serve in this ministry. This includes leading small groups, events, missions, and other opportunities.
  • Develop a plan of discipleship for middle and high school students.
  • Plan, promote, and execute a wide variety of exciting events for Students. These events should provide opportunities for discipleship, inviting friends, and building community among this age group!  These events include annual events (VBX, DNOW, Camp, etc.) as well as other regularly scheduled events throughout the year.
  • Plan and conduct regular parent/student meetings.
  • Develop and oversee a Wednesday Night program of education and activities for the students.
  • Attend worship service and a small group each week. Lead those within the Student Ministry to do likewise.
  • Prepare and oversee annual student budget in accordance with church policy to ensure a well-balanced year-long program.
  • Participate in worship services as requested.
  • Participate in hospital visitation and counseling ministry of the church.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Education Pastor.
