GROVE KIDS DIRECTOR
Grove Kids, the children’s ministry of Grove Church, provides relevant, age-appropriate learning and connection opportunities for kids from birth to 5th grade. On Sundays and at other days/times of the week, Grove seeks to provide a quality ministry for kids and involves a ministry team led by the Grove Kids Director.
The Grove Kids Director will work with the pastoral and church leadership to achieve the goals of Grove Church. The director will serve as a direct report to an assigned staff leader, and as a part of the ministry leadership staff/team. The director will be responsible for the specific goals related to a successful Grove Kids ministry.
You are:
- Passionate about sharing Grove Kids ministry vision with families in the church, people in the community, and volunteers.
- Able to build a team that leads and executes Grove Kids ministry by inspiring others to serve in Grove Kids.
- Driven to reach kids who do not know Christ by being relevant and providing a great space for them to connect with other kids and leaders.
- An advocate for connecting with parents and equipping them to be the leader of their child’s spiritual development.
- A strong communicator who listens well.
- A proven project manager with strong attention to details and administrative skills.
- A team player and team builder who focuses on the good of the entire church.
You will:
- Grow church campus attendance by creating and implementing a strategy, in conjunction with the church leadership and ministry plan, that draws in families into the church through Grove Kids ministry.
- Administrate disciple-making opportunities for birth-5th grade (i.e. Sunday School, Children’s Church, Awana/Word of Life, children’s music, Centri-kid, VBS, seasonal events, fellowships).
- Lead and develop a ministry team and lead any assigned staff, in being most effective in their roles on the Grove Kids team.
- Minister to the families and aid in connecting what happens through the church with what happens at home and create a presence of Grove Kids ministry in the community.
- Maintain effective communication and promotion of Grove Kids with the church, families, and community.
- Be a model for those who attend Grove Church by being an example of personal integrity, discipleship, and evangelism.
Salary is determined upon skills and experience.
Hours to be around 30 with room to grow to full-time.
