Church Profile
Second Branch Baptist Church has a campus that will easily support 100% growth. We are a congregation of 120-140 worship attendees who want to grow in knowledge of the Lord, of His Word, and be the hands and feet of Christ. We are seeking a pastor who will, above all, love our congregation. We want a pastor who will get to know us and then shepherd us gently forward. We also want a pastor who is passionate about God’s Word.
Financially, our church has no debt. For the 2023-2024 budget, we projected offering receipts of $372,670. In this budget, approximately 13% is designated for missions. This past Christmas, our Lottie Moon goal was $5000 and we received more than double that amount.
Our campus is home to The Bridge Academy, a homeschool co-op that offers multiple classes to students from elementary through high school.

Prayer
We have good practices for prayer on a small-group level. We are working on strengthening our prayer life as a church body. We have a group of about 15 meeting on Wednesday nights, some in person and the rest online via Zoom.
Fellowship
The church is strong in the area of greeting and welcoming people at the door. We also provide multiple opportunities (breakfasts and lunches) for fellowship, love, and unity.
Worship
The church enjoys singing. So the songs need to be familiar or learned. We have worship leaders who help us worship with both hymns and more contemporary songs. We like to project the words on the screen but some still like to use the hymnal when possible.
Ministry
We have strong women’s ministries. Our men’s ministry flows primarily out of the deacons family ministry. Most of our adults are seniors, so we don’t have many children or youth. We are actively praying for more young families.
Discipleship
We have classes available for all age groups, but most of those attending are senior adults. Most people don’t want to attend Bible study that is the same as what they’ve heard in the past. We need training for our teachers so they can prepare fresh, relevant lessons.
Evangelism
The church’s primary strength is “pre-evangelism”: showing people the love of God and laying a foundation for eventually sharing the gospel. They love to create opportunities where new relationships can be formed or existing relationships can be used for sharing the gospel.
