Overview
Second Chance Baptist Church commenced operations in 2009, established by a group committed to fostering a church dedicated to serving God and others while nurturing relationships with the Lord and one another. The mission statement articulates that "Second Chance Baptist Church exists to love God, love people, and make disciples" (Matthew 22:37-39, Matthew 28:19-20). The church holds the belief that God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is affirmed that Jesus, the Son of God, lived on earth, was crucified, buried, and resurrected on the third day to demonstrate His dominion over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and is anticipated to return as King of kings to redeem His church. The Holy Spirit is acknowledged as present in the world, residing within every Christian, providing divine power for living, facilitating understanding of the Bible, and guiding righteous conduct. The church maintains that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, authored through the Holy Spirit by human hands.
