Midlothian Baptist Church was founded by Ken and Kathy Cornett in February 1987. After 37 years as pastor he is retiring. He plans to stay with the church until a new pastor is hired. He does not plan to attend the church after retiring. The church was founded as an Independent Baptist church associated with the Baptist Bible Fellowship. The church joined the SBCV in 2019.
Midlothian is a suburb of Richmond VA. It is a fast growing area in Chesterfield county.
The church is out of debt on the 7700 square foot building, two modular buildings, and 15 acres, and has a sizable building fund for the next building.
The average attendance is around 110 and is a mixed group of ages and ethnic groups. A good percentage of the members were saved in the church. There is a sweet spirit in the church where the people love the Lord Jesus and each other.
This is a great opportunity for a godly man with the ability to train leaders, can preach well, win souls, has a heart for foreign missions, and who loves the Lord and the people. If you are a five point Calvinist, you need not apply.
