Worship Director

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION: The Worship Leader is responsible for coordinating and directing the music and instrumental programs at Lakewood Baptist Church.

WORSHIP

• Meet with Lead Pastor weekly to facilitate worship music selections that support the Sunday message and lead the congregation to worship our Holy God.
• Provide music selections/chord charts to the musicians each week.
• Coordinate and lead weekly music rehearsals.
• Create and maintain a weekly schedule to ensure vocal, instrumental, and audio/visual positions are filled.
• Create and coordinate weekly worship, sermon, and announcement graphics and lyrics to be projected.
• Oversee audio and visual production, including live streaming.
• Be available for special meetings and guests who may need music or audio/visual support.
• Establish and maintain communication through cell phone or email to reach members of the music program or audio/visual team at any time.
• Coordinate the recruiting, training, and motivating of volunteers to serve in the music program and audio/visual team.
• Coordinate and implement an annual music program budget proposal, and administer that budget as approved by the Finance Committee and the congregation.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Be present at Sunday morning and Wednesday night services, and special events as needed, as a representative of Church Leadership.
• Support the Lead Pastor in the overall vision casting and leadership of the church’s teaching.
• Support the Lead Pastor in preparing for and performing funerals and weddings.
• Support the Lead Pastor and deacons in visitation of church members and guests, to include visitation in the hospital, homes and care facilities as needed.
• Coordinate mass communication to include: church email (working with the office), social media/website (working with volunteers), service announcements, and develop communication campaigns (e.g. promoting outreach events to the public).
• Other duties as assigned.
