Associate Pastor in Music/Administration
Ordained minister responsible to assist the Senior Pastor with ministerial, administrative, and support needs
Primary person to coordinate music ministry
Qualifications--Biblical references-1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4
Adhere to Baptist Faith and Message 2000
Heart of worship and service to God demonstrated through a vibrant prayer life and surrender to Christ
Able to communicate effectively one-on-one, and with small and large groups exhibiting a pleasing attitude that is confident and enthusiastic
Ability to cooperate with staff to promote unity and oneness and try to carry out the entire ministry plan of the church
Maintain personal standards of Godliness based on biblical principles which results in an uncompromised testimony within the church and community
Actively involved and supportive of the overall life of the ministry
Must be circumspect in dress and demeanor
Associate Pastor Responsibilities--
In the absence of Senior Pastor will be responsible to take phone calls, oversee and lead worship services, and any other ministerial duties that may arise
Assist with visitation as directed by Senior Pastor
Share the pulpit ministry as needed
Develop and exercise personal evangelism within the church and community
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor
General Responsibilities
Committe meetings pertaining to area of influence, including but not limited to Church Council, Music Ministry, Leadership Team, etc.
Meet with Senior Pastor weekly for prayer, planning, and evaluation
Maintain personal priorities with wife and family as spiritual leader
Give graciously to HBC through tithes and offerings
Adhere to church constitution
Computer competency as relates to ministry
Responsibility demonstrated by punctuality and committment to ministry programs of the church
Attend seminars and conferences designed for ministry as approved by the church
Requested that he and his family become members of HBC within 30 days of employment
Will need to reside within a reasonable distance from church
Music Ministry Responsibilities
Develop, organize, and administer overall music ministry of the church
Responsible for leading congregational singing in all services
Special music selections, working with praise team
Musical training for kids and youth
Special events-weddings, funerals, revivals, homecoming
Effectively communication with all musicians and sound room staff to plan services each week
Prepare an annual budget for the music ministry to be presented to the Finance Committee
Keep records of copied music as required by the CCLI license
