Worship Intern

Cave Spring Baptist Church is a historic, multi-generational church located in Roanoke, VA. Currently, we are accepting applications for a part-time Worship Intern. We are seeking an individual who is gifted and desires to grow as a worship leader, in planning and organizational skills, and as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading heartfelt congregational worship that is inviting, encourages participation, and points people to Jesus.
• Assist in planning Sunday worship services that engage the congregation and support the reading and preaching of God’s Word.
• Lead band or choir rehearsals as needed.
• Help build a worship team by recruiting, teaching, and training musicians.
• Meet weekly with Worship Pastor to discuss and develop the worship ministry.
• Other duties as assigned.

Bonhoeffer Haus Apprenticeship

• Prepare for a lifetime of ministry and disciple making wherever God calls you.
• Intentional discipleship by mentoring pastor (weekly encouragement, study, prayer, and spiritual disciplines).
• Theological training and development through in person and online classes at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
• Participate in monthly leadership training, fellowship, and study with other Bonhoeffer Haus apprentices.

Details

• Schedule: 10-15 hours per week.
• $500 per month stipend.
• Housing provided.
