Youth Director

Job Description:

The Youth Director will be responsible for leading, developing, and engaging youth (7th-12th) in a vibrant and faith-affirming ministry, fostering their spiritual growth, and preparing them to live out their faith in the world. This position will involve planning and implementing youth programs, leading Bible studies, providing spiritual guidance, and partnering with parents and church leadership to create a supportive and engaging environment for youth.

Qualifications:

• High School degree
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in student ministry and/or feel called to Student Ministry
• Born again believer with a growing relationship with Christ

Responsibilities:

• Teach Youth Sunday School class on a regular basis
• Handle Sunday nights with the Youth on a regular basis (teaching, fun events, etc.)
• Meet once a month, on the first Wednesday night of each month, with the Youth Ministry volunteers to plan events, discuss youth ministry goals and how it’s going, pray and encourage one another
• Opportunities to preach on Sunday morning (Senior Recognition Sunday, Baptist Men’s Week, Sundays the Senior Pastor is out or asked to fill in)
• Give a report on the Youth Ministry at the church’s quarterly business meetings

Expectations:

• Progressively growing in their faith (1 Timothy 4:15; Luke 9:23)
• Meet with Senior Pastor once a week for discipleship, encouragement, accountability, relationship building
• Be a regular attender/member of Pecks Baptist Church
• Be in agreement with the beliefs of Pecks Baptist Church
