Position Overview:
The Worship Pastor reports to the Lead Pastor and is responsible for leading the congregation in worship. The Worship Pastor is responsible for training and shepherding worship ministry participants and overseeing the overall worship service, including music, video, programming and technical production, as well as the communications department. The Worship Pastor collaborates with and helps guide all campus worship leaders to ensure consistent quality and theology across all FCC locations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of worship/rehearsal planning and prayer, song discovery, charts and arrangements, creative elements, and communication
- Oversee staff members responsible for church wide marketing and publicity, including development and distribution of digital and printed materials, as well as website and social media content
- Assist pastoral staff in casting and accomplishing church vision, along with leading and shepherding of congregation
- Oversee and provide direction for the team leader of technical and production teams
- Regularly collaborate, coach and coordinate with staff from all 3 campuses to help cultivate ministry relationships to provide continuity
Qualifications:
- Proven pastoral influence and commitment to personal evangelism and church wide mission involvement
- Instrumental and vocal competencies, along with musical workflow and arranging skills
- Passionate about casting vision and developing leaders
- Self-Motivated and able to take initiative and to multi-task
- Experiential background in worship leading and staff management
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- 3-5 Years of experience in church similar in size
- Proven success in managing staff of 3 or more
- Proven success in overseeing volunteer base of 40 or more
- Proven success in leadership and vision casting
- College degree in related field
