Part-time Associate Pastor

Our church 

Parkway North Church is a Christ-centered local body of believers seeking to making disciples and living out the Gospel in both word and action. We are seeking a part-time pastor to join our leadership team and help guide the development and direction of our ministries. 

Position Summary 

This part-time Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor to develop, manage, and support the ministries of the church. This role is focused on helping implement and advance the overall vision of the church, ensuring that all ministries are aligned with our mission of making more disciples. This position requires a leader with strong relational, organizational, and spiritual maturity. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Ministry Development & Oversight 
  Work alongside the Senior Pastor to design, evaluate, and grow church ministries that align with our discipleship mission. 

• Lead and support ministry leaders and teams, helping equip them for effective service. 

• Identify opportunities for new ministry initiatives and growth 

Vision Implementation 

• Assist the Senior Pastor in fleshing out the church’s strategic vision through practical ministry efforts. 

• Help ensure all programs and activities reflect and support the mission and values of the church. 

Discipleship Focus 

• Ensure that ministries are structured to help people grow spiritually and become fully devoted followers of Jesus. 

• Collaborate on discipleship pathways, small groups, and leadership development efforts. 

Pastoral Presence 

• Be present on Sundays to participate in worship, teaching, or leadership roles as needed. 

• Occasional preaching as needed 

• Provide pastoral care and support during the week on a flexible schedule. 

Qualifications 

• A mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. 

• Demonstrated experience in ministry leadership (pastoral or lay leadership roles). 

• Strong organizational and communication skills. 

• Ability to lead, encourage, and develop volunteers and ministry leaders. 

• Theological alignment with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.   

• Formal theological education or ministry training is preferred but not required. 

Time Commitment & Compensation 

• 20 hours per week, including Sunday in-person presence and flexible hours during the week. 

• Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
